Giacomo Sella leads Sella Corporate & Investment Banking, the division of the Sella Group dedicated to delivering integrated and innovative Investment Banking solutions to Italian SMEs and growth companies.
After graduating in Economics from the University of Turin, he began his career in corporate finance in London at Daiwa SBCM, where he held positions of responsibility and was involved in some of the first privatizations of companies and state-owned banks in Central and Eastern Europe. He subsequently gained experience in strategic consulting at Bain & Company.
In 2012, he earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. In the following years, he played an active role in the development and transformation of the family business, leading M&A activities in Italy and abroad across a wide range of financial sectors, including private and commercial banking, bancassurance, consumer finance, asset management, financial services, and fintech.
In 2018, he launched and developed the Corporate & Investment Banking division of the Sella Group, with the objective of building a distinctive offering that combines financial, industrial, and technological expertise to support the growth of Italian enterprises. He has also developed significant experience in corporate venture capital, contributing to the Sella Group’s strategies in open banking and fintech.
Since his university years, he has nurtured a strong passion for finance as a driver of real-economy development, with a particular focus on SMEs and high-growth companies.
